As many geomatician has now become better-waged employees -either as functionalists, account representatives, modern doers, doers (pelaksana), middle managers, even top managers- of directorate general of taxes of treasury department of Indonesian Republic, the need of laptop as supporting tools has emerged greater and greater.
I believe that every geomatician is now considering of buying a 'perfect laptop' for her/his own use, as well as thinking of a 'perfect car'. This phenomenon is normal and is a gift from Allah swt. However, finding such perfect things is sometimes a daunting task, especially for those first time users.
Of course there are clues on doing these kind of tasks. I'll try to give a general clues to find the perfect things for your own, especially in seeking a perfect laptop. Here are some clues worth to do in seeking a perfect laptop:
1. Think or know yourself a little deeper. Please think again what will you do with your laptop, at office and at home, at your busiest and most leisure time (gaming may be);
2. Understand this: everybody is a unique entity. Although you have friends (office mates) with the same tasks, you should not imitate or buy the same laptop as theirs. You have very special unique characters that should be taken into account to suit your unique perfect laptop. In other words: everybody has the calm side and the 'wild side' that differs each others;
3. Refer to others' experiences. It is worth to ask other's experience about the good and the bad of laptop you search;
4. Ask the laptop experts. Visit the people, stores, websites, or blogs. Ask for more info. There must be valueable info you can take. Be an info hunter. Sometimes we can broaden our knowledge beyond our existing knowledge;
5. Please be open minded. Sometimes when we really search for something, we will be given many options to choose. Try to search and accept info not only from manufacture we love (unless we are brand maniacs);
6. Sometimes it worthy to go a little higher than our current needs. Technology changes rapidly, by going beyond our current needs, we will save for future use. Imanigation is needed here, but don't get imagine too far;
7. Unless you have unlimited resources, do set a range budget. A little higher spending on laptop, above our initial budget won't hurt, as long as we could get maximum satisfaction;
8. Consider your own self pride if you can afford of it. This self pride could be so costly. So please be rationale when you take this pride into your buying behavior.
